Christmas Celebration PDF Print E-mail

Dear friend,

May this email finds you peaceful and in good health. The Christmas spirit is starting to take place in Magnolia Grove Monastery. A group of Brothers and Sisters have started with the Christmas decoration in the meditation hall with much joy and happiness. We would often pause for a moment, take a deep breath, exchange smiles and enjoy a cup of tea to remind ourselves to be fully in the here and now. Pictures of Santa Clause and snowman are being displayed on the windows of the meditation hall. Opening the door, we see the smiles of the Santa Clause and it’s difficult not to smile back to him in return. Beside decorating for Christmas, we are also continuing to build Thay’s hut. The sound of the hammer is being heard throughout the day. Our devoted friends are present at Thay’s hut everyday. As mentioned in previous emails, we are always in need of volunteers for this project. If you would like to offer a helping hand, please contact us.

Christmas is one week away and we would like to wish you and your family a MERRY CHRISTMAS. May this Christmas brings you much peace, happiness, and tranquility. It is our joy to share with you that on December 24, 2010, Magnolia Grove Monastery will celebrate Christmas as a four fold sangha, a spiritual family. We would like to invite you to join us in this joyous day. Below is the schedule for the Christmas celebration on December 24, 2010:

There will be a Day of Mindfulness on Sunday, December 19, 2010. On this day, we will have the occasion to pick a name of a person for Christmas present. Each one of us will play a role as Secret Santa and everyone who is present on December 24, 2010 will have a Christmas gift from Secret Santa. We warmly invite you to join us for this Day of Mindfulness. The schedule is as follows:
