Slideshow : Letting Go + Be Free = Great Contentment retreat
Friends from different states joined the monastics to practice mindfulness for four days. The five kittens attended their first mindfulness retreat and the children, as well as adults, gave them much love and happiness.
This special slideshow was made possible by Grant and Amber, who attended the annual Summer Retreat (July 02-06, 2014) at Magnolia Grove Meditation Practice Center.

“To live in a good environment,
to have planted wholesome seeds,
and to realize that you are on the right path—
this is the greatest happiness.
--- from Discourse on Happiness
This summer marks the 4th year of the monastics presence at Magnolia Grove Meditation Practice Center. Number of the Brothers and Sisters returned to Vietnam and Thailand to give other monastics the opportunity to practice at Magnolia Grove MPC. Over the past years, friends all over the USA have learned the art of mindful living with us. Many peaceful and gentle steps were made, beautiful smiles were exchanged and countless moments of happiness were generated on this place. The land ancestors have been supportive of us and we are very grateful for their protection and loving kindness.
To make this summer more special, we'd like to share with you pictures taking by friends who have visited us. Mindful breaths were generated as their eyes touch the wonders of lives. Current photos showing were taking by Alecia in June 2014.
Buddhist practitioners all over the world are celebrating Vesak (Buddha's Birthday) this month. On May 11, 2014, the Four Fold Sangha of Magnolia Grove Meditation Practice Center gathered together to celebrate this joyous day as a spiritual family. It was an occasion for all of us to cultivate the peace, joy, happiness in our own hearts, strengthen the Buddha nature in each one of us.
