Tết – Vietnamese New Year celebration

You are welcome to join the Plum Village community for our celebrations of the Lunar New Year, or “Tết” – the most important festival in Vietnamese culture.

This is one of the more unusual and joyous weeks in the Magnolia Grove calendar, centred around informal teachings based on traditional Vietnamese poetic “oracle reading”.

Please note that our formal practices of sitting meditation, walking meditation and silent meals are suspended, and replaced with informal practice. Therefore this week is appropriate only for those already familiar with Plum Village practice.

8:30am – Walking meditation
10:00am – Oracle Reading
11:00am – Ceremony to welcome the New Year
– Spring Festival

Monday, 02/08/2016:
9: 30am – Sitting, chanting, oracle reading
3: 30pm – Visiting the Brothers\’ Residence

 Tuesday, 02/09/2016 :
9: 30am Sitting, chanting, oracle
3:30pm – Visiting the Sisters\’  Residence
