Happy 15th Anniversary to Magnolia Grove Monastery!
Dear Friends,
As you may have heard, 2025 marks the 15th year since Magnolia Grove Monastery was officially established thanks to the many loving hands and hearts of our dearest aunties and uncles (our highest term of endearment bestowed on close bodhisattvas and angels of our monastery, many who were pioneers in founding the land, building and maintaining the buildings, and permeating the land with unconditional love), monks and nuns, friends from all over the world, both far and near. We have immense gratitude and respect for all your hard work, care, and perseverance: despite our lack of resources, you still chose to join our retreats, despite having to bear the cold when we served food outdoors on our verandas due to lack of indoor space, endured our simple accommodations, attended retreats despite the distance. Without you, our monastery would not be what it is today.
As this year comes to an end, if Magnolia Grove Monastery has touched your life in a meaningful way, won’t you celebrate Magnolia Grove Monastery’s 15th anniversary by sharing with us your transformation story in the comments section: how you first found out about us, if your life was enhanced by our community of mindful living, or what was most memorable for you, maybe during a retreat or a Day of Mindfulness?
Meanwhile, we invite you to travel back in time to see a tiny peek into our growth and progress over the years through a few selected images. Countless aunties, uncles, grandmas, grandpas, families, and friends both far and near have contributed both monetary gifts and helping hands into manifesting all that we have today on this precious land of healing and love.
If you have old photos of Magnolia Grove Monastery in the past decade and are happy to share photos with us, please feel free to send them our way with a photo credit so we can remember how our present is built by our past.
We have posted our 2026 retreats and events and hope to see you in the very near future!
Come practice with us and infuse this land with your mindful steps, mindful breaths, and community building through both laughter and tears. And thanks to your generous hearts and helping hands, we now have an extended, warm dining hall, and spacious, new kitchen! We hope you can come and enjoy our latest addition to our growing monastery!
We hope to see you perhaps on our Sunday Day of Mindfulness, or for personal and themed retreats!
With all our deepest love and gratitude,
Magnolia Grove Monastery monastics and multifold community
We are grateful for your loving hands and hearts of gold, helping us build Magnolia
Grove Monastery into what it is today!
