We have Happy News!
On October 6th, 2024, Magnolia Grove Monastery will have the great joy of welcoming two new baby novices: Tam Hai Minh/Krystee (from Houston) and Nga (from Atlanta).
We will also have the great honor of welcoming a new monastic Dharma Teacher to our Dharma Teacher family: Sister Chan Dinh Nghiem, who ordained in 2009 and is currently working in the office here at Magnolia Grove Monastery.
Our program for the day is as follows:
5:30 Novice Ordination in the Big Meditation Hall
7:00 Breakfast (at the brothers’ dining hall)
8:30 Walking Meditation (Please gather in front of the Big Meditation Hall)
9:45 Dharma Lamp Transmission in the Big Meditation Hall
11:30 Welcoming our two new novices and our new Dharma Teacher in the Big Meditation Hall
12:45 Lunch (at the brothers’ dining hall)

If you are from a local sangha in Memphis or Oxford and would like to spend Saturday night, Oct. 5, in order to attend the Novice ordination as it starts very early (this is an exception made just for this special occasion), please contact Sr. Dinh N at: office@magnoliagrovemonastery.org
