DAY OF MINDFULNESS IN MEMPHIS – Refreshing Our Body & Mind

We, the Monks and Nuns of Magnolia Grove Monastery and Church Health, are happy to present an opportunity for all who are interested in learning more about mindfulness practices to use in their daily life. We invite the people of Memphis to join us in understanding more about how to better take care of oneself through mindfulness practice. Together we will learn and apply concrete practices such as following our breath, walking meditation, mindful eating, and deep relaxation that increase happiness, stability and freedom in ourselves and others.
We welcome the participation of people from all backgrounds and lifestyles. We are committed to fostering a practice environment where all may touch the Dharma and find healing and nourishment.
Things to bring:
– Your own vegan/vegetarian lunch
– Water to drink
– Your own cushion and yoga mat, if you have them
– Sun hat
