Novice Ordination photos
While our two novice nuns ordained here at Magnolia Grove Monastery, they belong to the Lilac Ordination family along with two novice monks who also ordained on the same day, in Deer Park Monastery.
As they are of the next generation in our dharma lineage, our novice nuns carry Thay's second part of his name, "Action" and our novice monks carry Thay's first part of his name "One." In this way, they are beautiful continuations of Thay, our beloved teacher, and our dharma lineage.

After both ceremonies, we had a Be-In to welcome our new baby nuns and our new dharma teacher. Below are some photos of this celebration.

Over 150 friends and family gathered to celebrate our dharma growth!
Many friends travelled from Tennessee, Texas, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, California and even Vietnam to bear witness and celebrate Thay's continuation in these young nuns.
Sr. Minh Hanh shared about her gratitude to her parents and felt she was reborn a second time.
Family members shared heartfelt wishes for the two new nuns.
